FAQ

This space is a memoriam for clients who have passed away

Here you can read about some of the legacies these past clients have shared with Not Home Alone and to their proud owners and families who now remember them in their hearts.

Panda Boy

(2005 - 2006) Panda Boy was the precious guinea pig that James received as a Christmas gift. James took very, very good care of him. He and his family will cherish his memory in their hearts forever.

Sam

(1988 - 2007) The original owners had Sam for two months when they moved to an apartment that required a pet deposit. They asked Nancy if she would watch Sam until they were able to pay the deposit; the owners never came back. Nancy and Sam had a beautiful life and became best friends. This wonderful feline was our first "cat" client that needed regular medication. We will forever be indebted to Sam.

Sandy

(1994 - 2007) Sandy was adopted when she was approximately two years old. Sandy grew up with the family’s daughters, and the whole family loved her dearly. They took beautiful care of her and gave her a wonderful life. We fell in love with Sandy on our very first pet sitting. She loved our walks and we always let her make the decision about where to walk. We miss Sandy, too.

Coco

(1995 - 2007) Coco brought joy to everyone who met her. She never met a stranger. Her Momma and Pappa loved her very much; people would often ask just what kind of dog she was, and her owners would reply a "Royal Livingston Hunting Dog". Miss Coco was a lucky lady because she was adopted by a very loving couple who showered her with love and affection. They miss her greatly but will carry her memory in their hearts forever. We will also miss her sweet disposition and loving ways. She is one of the few dogs that we actually cared for in our home. Her parents are world travelers and during there absences, we were blessed to be her care takers.

Miss Gertie

(1994 - 2008)
I probably should have nicknamed her ALady Gertie@ because she truly was a lady. It gave my heart such a joy to come into a room and have her joyfully run with her butt twisting as much as her tail. We had many pleasant walks, which were always masterminded by Miss Gertie. She would Amosey@ carefully not to miss a thing, which included stopping to smell everything and to gaze at what I could never quite figure out. Now, somehow I think she was remembering the wonderful days of her happy life. What a smart girl she was! She would stay close by in the backyard until whoever was with her took their eyes and thoughts off of her and she would instantly be sneaking off to the golf course, which she dearly loved.

I just know that Miss Gertie is running pain free on a beautiful golf course in heaven and she will never have to fear a thunder storm, again.

Miss Gertie, you are missed by so many.

Mr. Bitsy

(1990 - 2007) Bitsy cat was a smart and loving kitty towards his mother and papa guardians. He knew many tricks and would entertain those around him (both his animal family and people) with talented and unique games. One of his favorite hobbies was carrying a ball in his mouth around the house, and he would sometimes drop the ball in his water dish, and splash!

Bitsy was also very social and affectionate and he would tell others how he felt every day. He would often meow, but his owners and animal peers knew he was carrying out intellegent conversation. Bitsy was a real genius. He visited Aggieland where he was treated for symptoms for hyper-thyroidism, but that didn't stop him from having fun or living a good life. He passed away at a wise age of 17!

Bitsy also cared for the other cats, and he taught them many skills to being smart and observant cat watchers. He was never afraid of strangers, but he would protect his home and family from danger. Everyone who knew him really adored his "catality". We will miss him, but will always remember him in our hearts.

Lobo

(2002 - 2008) Lobo was one of the most loving and friendly dogs his master knew. Lobo loved his fellow animal peers, who took care of him during his troubles. Poor Lobo enjoyed running and exploring the great outdoors so much, that he caught himself into a chicken wire fence and hurt himself badly. His master loved Lobo so much that he did all he could to save him and tried his hardest to make Lobo's back yard and home safe.

Lobo enjoyed playing with the other dogs each day, and he loved when his pet sitter would come and give him treats, lovings, and good food. Lobo would get close to his master and friends and would want to lay his head in their lap and look at their faces and daze. He also would get excited for being petted and would get as close as he could to get the most attention. We will always remember the love Lobo shared with us each day, and we miss you boy. Thank you for being such a good friend.

Cole

(1993 - 2008)
Cole was adopted as a kitten, 15 years ago from a shelter in Lousiana. Although he could be temperamental, he was very social and a true lap cat.

Cole acted like "Big Brother" to Kayleigh, Kassidy, and Maytag, the younger three cats he loved dearly; even littl' kitten Maytag (or just "Tag") who loved to drive Cole nuts whenever he could find a few moments of peace and personal kitty time to sleep. The other cats looked up to Cole to teach them all he knew in order to grow up to be good house cats. It's a big world to explore out there, they thought, and Cole was both wise and accepting of all things familiar and strange.

Many pet sitters had the opportunity to visit with Cole, and he would greet each one personally. Cole was especially sweet to me, and he purred whenever I petted him on the head and said hello. Cole is loved very much by his family and his presence will be greatly missed with us too.
